Judgement...

Welcome back to the blog! Today I’m writing about the first thing every young woman thinks about when they go out into public, judgement. Whether it be for your hair, your weight, or your clothes, every young woman has worried about being judged.
For me personally, it has been about my weight. Growing up, I was always given nicknames due to how skinny I was. When I was about fifteen or so, I gained a good amount of healthy weight, and that’s when the problems started. Diverticulitis, and stomach ulcers took it all from me. Ultimately causing me to lose all the weight I felt so good about, I felt so defeated.
As my body image and confidence lowered to zero, I let everything someone had to say about me being little affect me. But here’s the truth — I am wonderfully created in the image of God, and you are too. Regardless of what you look like, it is exactly the way God intended you to be. No matter what anyone has to say about your appearance or how you do things, God made you the way you are in his own image.
Isn’t that crazy? The creator of the whole universe created you to be just as unique and as beautiful as you are. The same God that hung the moon and stars, took His time to create every little unique detail about you. The next time you start to think — “I wonder what they’re thinking about me”, tell yourself “I know what God thinks about me, and that’s good enough for me”.
