Hi, my name is Lily Jade!! I am a 17-year-old Christian teenager who is still on her journey to faith. These are my thoughts on being a Christian teen in today's world.
Being a Christian teen today can feel like walking a tightrope between faith and fitting in. The world around us is full of influences—social media, trends, and peer pressure—that often push values contrary to the teachings of Christ. It’s easy to feel out of place, especially when standing firm in your beliefs might not always be the popular choice.
But here’s the truth: being a Christian isn’t about fitting in; it’s about living out your faith authentically. Romans 12:2 reminds us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." That means embracing who you are in Christ and not allowing the world to define your identity.
Staying connected to God through prayer, reading the Bible, and finding a community of like-minded believers can help you stay grounded. You might feel like you're swimming against the current, but remember, faith isn’t about following the crowd—it's about walking with Christ.
It’s okay to be different. In fact, it’s your faith that sets you apart, helping you shine in a world that desperately needs light.
